As one of Australia’s most celebrated brand and identity studios, Hulsbosch needed a digital presence that reflected the depth and legacy of its work. From shaping the brand identities of Qantas, Virgin Australia, and Woolworths to creating award-winning campaigns across four decades, Hulsbosch’s online platform had to showcase not only its iconic work but also its storytelling power.



Brought in to implement the new website, I worked closely with their in-house team to translate their designs into a robust, scalable, and visually rich WordPress CMS. The site featured a media-rich architecture with embedded video, photography, case studies, and testimonial clips—all fully editable through a custom backend setup. My work spanned desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and optimal performance across all devices.

Idea

The CMS was engineered for ease-of-use, empowering the team to publish, update, and manage their extensive portfolio independently. Every design decision was carefully considered—from layout responsiveness to content hierarchy—to support their storytelling goals and uphold the reputation of one of Australia’s most influential branding studios.

While my involvement wrapped up just before final launch, the completed build represented the full functionality and visual polish of the finished site. It’s also worth noting this was my second time working on the Hulsbosch site, having previously developed an earlier version of their digital presence.

Impact

Even without my name on the live launch, this project stands as one of the most technically complete and design-respectful builds I’ve delivered—worthy of a place in the IAMJAMES archive.
