The Škoda Octavia has long been positioned as a smart, design-conscious choice for Australian drivers—European quality without the European price tag. At DDB, I was brought in to help extend the impact of a new television commercial through a responsive suite of digital display ads.
Idea
While the TVC carried the emotional storytelling, my role was to distill that same creative energy into a flexible digital campaign that performed across multiple touchpoints. From leaderboards and skyscrapers to mobile banners and rich media units, the campaign required a modular, scalable set of assets that could deliver impact no matter the screen size.
Working closely with the DDB creative team, I translated key visual motifs and messaging from the TV spot into high-performance banners tailored for web and mobile. The focus was on sleek animation, clean transitions, and reinforcing Škoda’s core proposition: smart meets stylish. I ensured every format—static and animated—aligned perfectly with the overarching creative platform and brand tone.
Each ad was optimised for attention and conversion, adhering to platform specs and performance best practices. I also provided flexible master templates, allowing for efficient updates and localisation across markets.
Impact
The result was a cohesive, cross-platform campaign that amplified the Škoda Octavia message beyond broadcast—making sure the story landed wherever the audience was browsing.
